Hi,

I've a quite similar issue on Xubuntu 21.04: when Purr-Data is running,
Firefox can't play streaming video anymore. Correct behavior is back
when I close Purr-Data.

I had an issue which blacked out my screen a few time after resume but
it was due to compositing and an old NVidia card. I fixed it by
following this https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=13233
