BTW, one more little thing to keep in mind if anyone wants to go ahead and
implement Jonathan's (2nd) proposal: If you go back to Ctrl as temp runmode
key, please note that this key does *not* work on the Mac because
Ctrl+Click is bound to Right-Click there. And that's a binding that most
Mac users will definitely *not* want to change. So it absolutely needs to
be the Cmd instead of the Ctrl key on the Mac (this is also what vanilla
uses for temp runmode on the Mac).

In the meantime I just went ahead and fixed the alt-click popup issue that
Joseph reported (
https://git.purrdata.net/jwilkes/purr-data/-/merge_requests/572). Alt key
FTW! :))

This was as easy as I expected, and yes, I did use Jonathan's fake keyup
trick in the click handler for that. (Jonathan, it would be nice if you
could merge this asap, so that it goes into the next release. Unless you
already have a better solution ready to go, that is.)
