I started but haven't finished porting the gui for that object. I'm
reluctant because the code is very disorganized.

Could someone test it out with Pd Vanilla to make sure a) it actually
does what is claimed in the help patch and
b) that it doesn't crash or have a bunch of run time bugs? I'd hate to
do the work of porting it and find out it's
unstable and barely works.

I can't reproduce this bug under Linux.

Hm... there's student working on a related feature for GSoC but it's
not quite this. I'll forward this to a GSoC
mentor to gauge what would be involved.
