+1 These thingies aren't exactly cheap, especially if you want/need the
full set of overlays. Unfortunately, I don't think that Peter Nyboer is on
this list, so your broad hint may go unnoticed. :) But maybe Ico can help
us out? Ico??

Our main problem is with those 10 lines of global variables to even

You're right. This is of course way easier with a separate device that's
supported through its own external and doesn't have to integrate with the
GUI.
