This seemed to work well until some recent release, when I started facing this issue. So right now if I start Pd normally instead of using the instructions you gave and type [Scope~], I get the error I describe, but if I try to create [cyclone/Scope~] then everything is fine. Any idea how can I use paths properly to solve this?
I'm going to speculate that you have another version of Scope~ lying
around somewhere in your path.
In a terminal, try `find / -name "Scope~.pd_linux"`
What does it show?
