[L2Ork-dev] Purr Data GSoC Update

Hi List,

We have selected our project for Purr Data's participation in
GSoC this summer.

We accepted Pranay Gupta's proposal: to make it possible to
compile Purr Data with a double-precision floating point numeric type.

Thanks to Pranay for writing up such a clear and detailed
proposal. I look forward to digging into the details and helping to
mentor this summer!

Thanks to everyone who applied, and also for Ico and Giulio for the
feedback they've given so far in the GSoC program.

Also, thanks to Albert for giving detailed feedback in the Gitlab UI,
and for making some much needed improvements to the build
system. Even before the code-writing part of the program has begun
we've made some great improvements to the infrastructure and
documentation.

I'll keep posting updates about the program here. Stay tuned!
