[L2Ork-dev] newbie question: installation

Hello from an interested computer musician in NE Wales, UK :)

I'd really like to try the L2Ork software out.

Am I right in understanding it's a software bundle that sits on top of a
pre-installed Linux OS of some kind, rather than being a bare-metal install
or live distro?

I'm using ubuntu studio, so if the above is the case, would everything play
nice together?

Sorry if I've overlooked obvious info about this.
