<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div>Greetings,</div><div><br></div><div>My name is Abhinav Borah, a second-year computer science undergrad from India. Having used PureData in the past for my personal projects, I would be more than happy to contribute to the organisation. I am familiar with the tools mentioned in the Idea List provided for GSOC'22 and would love to enrich my curiosity and skills by learning from the mentors. The ideas I am looking forward to contribute are stated below:<br></div><div><ul><li><b>Vintage Platform Audio Emulation:</b></li></ul></div><div style="margin-left:40px">I have some prior experience with Pd where I made virtual MIDI instruments and patches. Applying the skills/technologies I'll be learning from my mentor, I will devote this summer to developing <i>"a library with objects that emulate the hardware from
old hardware like the atari 2600, NES, and others."<br></i></div><ul><li><b>Improve Our Monstrously Complex Build System</b></li></ul></div><div style="margin-left:40px">Continuous Integration plays a vital role in the release of PurrData updates. I want to help automate the release process along with improving the CI runners and simplifying the build system. I have used C and am familiar with bash as well as the peculiarities of OSX and
Windows command line. With some guidance and help from the mentors, I will be able to learn and implement 'make' to refine the build system further.</div></div><div><br></div><div>I really appreciate the efforts PureData has put to allow both artists and programmers alike to develop, tweak and implement their thoughts into actions. I am looking forward to being a valuable contributor to the organisation. Hoping to hear from you soon.</div><div><br></div><div>Regards,<br></div><div>Abhinav<br></div><div><div><div><div><div style="margin-left:40px"><i><br></i></div></div></div></div></div></div>
