I'm not big on refactoring, but this one was sorely needed. It changes the<br>
entire gui interface to respond to messages from Pd using callbacks. This<br>
will get rid of a number of pesky bugs that can cause the GUI to freeze.<br>

Once the CI is finished, please test. I'm especially looking for any lingering<br>
bugs wrt GOP.<br>
<br>
Also, performance should be roughly the same, so let me know if there are<br>
any areas that aren't.<br>
