<p>I am honestly not sure what is the best approach. I guess if they
depend on a bunch of external stuff, building them will still
require those libraries to be installed. I thought including them
may make your life easier, so that you don't have to build these
separately, and if they are widely used, perhaps others will also
appreciate the integration.</p>

packages from my PPAs. ;-) Might be worth it, though. Having
something "just work" out of the box certainly lowers the
barrier to actually use it...<br>

externals (i.e., pd-faust and pd-pure)? Or *all*
of Faust and Pure? I don't consider that
feasible. Pure is a big system, at least as big
as Pd-L2Ork, and highly modular. You wouldn't
want to include of all of Python or Ruby in
Pd-L2Ork, would you? ;-)<br clear="all">
