I have received multiple reports regarding this problem. It shouldn't be too hard to create a new Deb file specifically for Debian that adapts to this change in dependency. I unfortunately do not have a Debian system on hand, so it may be a bit tricky for me to build one.

Perhaps if I provide a specialised build script for Debian, could one of the current Debian and pd-l2ork users build a version for 32bit and 64bit systems and I will gladly post it on the website. Thank you.

Good to know. I will investigate to see if we can improve the
control file and improve this dependency in hope there may be one
universal control file for all deb-based distributions.
in my distrib, debian stable/testing/unstable, theres a conflict
between Inkscape and pd-l2ork because of a conflict between
libgsl0ldbl (absent from debian and necessary for pd-l2ork to
install) and libgsl2 (necessary for Inskape to install)
