[L2Ork-dev] Purr Data 2.17.0 released

Oh, and here's the pdcontrol implementation that Jonathan talked about,
updated to leverage the new pddplink symbol input.

This abstraction is not in the distribution yet, so if anyone wants to
submit it in a merge request, that'll be nice. :)
