Or, if you’re on Linux and have all the necessary dependencies installed
already, then you can also just quickly build the thing from Jonathan’s
branch like so:
git clone git at git.purrdata.net:jwilkes/purr-data.gitcd purr-data
git checkout port-disis_munger# to get the latest build system goodies:
git rebase master# Gem-less build, for the impatient:
make incremental# caution, if you're not using the JGU package then
this may overwrite your existing purr-data install!sudo make install#
test it:
pd-l2ork
Learn how to build the stuff from source yourself and you’ll never have to
bug Jonathan again. ;-) Yes, this used to be a tough call, but with the
latest additions to the build system it’s pretty much a walk in the park
now.
Jonathan, I just did that myself and the external seems to load fine (see
the screenie below). One thing I noticed, though, is that you forgot to
install the disis_munger-help.pd patch. I had to load that from the source.
Another thing I still couldn’t figure out is how to make that lovely thingy
produce actual sound. ;-) Ico, care to enlighten us?
