That is incorrect.

[mknob] was ported to Purr Data. It has been available for some time--
it was definitely
ported before I wrote the feature reques about a native [knob] object.

The [mknob] object is available from the moonlib library.

Try [moonlib/mknob], or declare the moonlib library with [declare -lib moonlib]
if you want to create it as [mknob].
