[L2Ork-dev] Request for mentorship: Purr Data packaging triage

Hi list,We've got a problem right now with Purr Data packaging-- since the dependencies in linux_make
are statically defined it's very likely that a user on an arbitrary apt-based distro will run into
unnecessary problems with errors that certain dependencies don't exist.
To rectify this I'd like to leverage Albert's debbuild system to ensure that people who compile
Purr Data on an arbitrary apt-based distro will end up with a .deb that *actually* installs correctly
on their system.
My MO is to touch as little of the build system as possible:* test debbuild on all the current CI runners* maybe test on Linux Mint and one or two others
* change the build instructions listed on git.purrdata.net to use debbuild instead of tar_em_up.sh
* bitch and moan about Linux packaging in general and Debian packaging in particular
I'll do this as a feature branch so it shouldn't be disruptive to the current Purr Data development.
Albert-- would you mind listening to me bitch and moan as I work through this?
-Jonathan
