Hi,
Just tried the installation again (gem_0.93.3-5ubuntu4_i386
<https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+package/gem>  at
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/trusty/man1/pd-gem.1.html) but an error
persists:

dpkg: error processing package gem (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for man-db (2.6.7.1-1ubuntu1) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 gem
