RESEARCH PORTFOLIO
DISIS fosters collaborations with various departments, institutions and entities. As a result, a vast majority of research that takes place at DISIS is collaborative in nature. Following terms are used to describe DISIS role:

•  PI (Principal Investigator) for projects that originated in DISIS
CO-PI (co-Principal Investigator) in projects where main authorship is shared among several entities
Senior Personnel where DISIS was a paid contributor to an outside project
Collaborator where DISIS was an academic contributor to an outside project

Following is a list of recent research at DISIS:

Ultrasonic Gesture Mapping (PI, Spring 2007-present)

Use of ultrasonic beacons for the purpose of sonification of gestures

•  Use of a proximity sensor array in conjunction with gesture tracking software
